New Business
Fiscal 2010 Annual report
Jenna had emailed out the report before the meeting but also brought a few copies. The group reviewed the report. Susan asked if anyone had a concern about voting on the report at this meeting.  Seeing none,  Bob moved to approve. Gordon seconded. Approved.
Legislative work group
The DUI Task Force consortium is not functioning. However Becky Sturdevant has been doing an awesome job of keeping everyone up to date.  Jenna has been forwarding her emails. In addition, Jenna spoke with several legislators when in Helena for the Non-profit day in January.  She encouraged people to make the time to email legislators and to thank Becky for her work.
Public information work group
  • Jenna passed out the survey she passed out at last month’s meeting, and had emailed, to be sure to get input on Autumn/holiday projects. She hadn’t received any responses and asked attendees to please fill it out before leaving.
  • Bob made a quick report on the Superbowl campaign. “STickers” went to Town & Country, Papa Murphy’s and VAn’s IGA. Jenna said the press release ran in the Sunday news, February 13th.
  • April 21st is the Swimming Upstream Awards. Looking at trying a blend of speakers this year, 2 or 3 to present. Jenna asked anyone with a suggestion for a speaker or anyone with a nomination to please email. She also asked Task Force members to show up and help out.
Finances
Mini-grant applications.
  • West Yellowstone P.D. - $2,249.00 for squad car camera’s. Bob moved to approved. Dennis seconded. Approved.
  • N.P.S. (Tom Schwartz) - $3,000.00 for four Traffic Safety Point checks on Highway 91, between March and June 30th. Jenna asked if they could include DUI cost cards in their handouts. Dennis moved to approve. Bob seconded. Approved.
  • MSU P.D. - $2705.00 Kustom Signals-Golden EyeII radar units for marked police vehicles. Susan mentioned that often high speeds are directly associated with DUI.  Jenna said she double checked with MDOT about funding these and there isn’t a problem. Bob moved to approve. Shanda seconded. Approved.
  • Jenna presented a mini-grant application from Madison County for 7 “DUI, You can’t afford it signs to be posted on roads in Madison County that connect River Put-ins used by floaters who will get off the river in Gallatin County. Susan suggested that the language for the proposed press release better emphasize the fact that this is a cooperative project. Mark said MSU has been having signs made by the state prison system at about half the cost of those made locally. He will forward that contact to Jenna. Jenna reminded the group that this cooperative project was mentioned in the initial Fiscal 2011 plan. Susan requested that someone from the Madison County Task Force attend the next meeting to answer questions or address concerns.
Strategic Planning
Terry Profota updated the group on progress made on Strategic Planning. Tonight’s Strategic Planning meeting will focus on a discussion of the composition of the Task Force. Jenna got suggestions from the County Auditor on financial reporting. The PI&E group just met to plan external educational goals.

Meeting adjourned at 6:15 PM for the Strategic Planning group to meet.
